So I work in the office of an aftermarket leather shop. Here's a celebrity car that the guys did earlier this week:
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! bought this gold Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara hardtop with black cloth and wanted leather to match the outside, including a contrasting stitch. I think it looks pretty good
A closer look of the top stitch to match the gold exterior.
And another customer wanted to do a dark blue for the interior of his Corolla. It had that hideous Amber factory cloth and this blue was a good match to the exterior of his blue-gray car:
I'm surprised a Corolla could look appealing inside.

The question is why anyone would pay good money to redo the interior of a Corolla.

this is a mess back here. Did they see a Corolla and say, meh, good enough?

Damn, I LOVE the amber interior of the new Corolla. I think it looks mighty sharp with the Forest Evergreen paint.

Those wrinkles will fall out. Aftermarket leather is often cut slightly larger because it shrinks over time. That's why almost all carmakers use vinyl/leather kits.
Besides - it is a Corolla. The average Corolla buyer puts as much thought into their car purchase as an average consumer puts into their purchase of a toaster .

Why would somebody get aftermarket leather in a Corolla? I don't see the point of that at all.
It looks really meh, true about what you said about the wrinkles, but it still looks like a taxi or something back there.

Wait

WAIT

someone put money into an interior upgrade for a COROLLA?!
...but why...

It had this cloth originally:
I don't like it.

I don't either but I'm surprised people upgrade a corolla to begin with.

How much does an average car like a Corolla cost to refinish like this?

Retail is only $899 for single color 2 row.
3 rows are 1199 and 2 seater is 749.
2 tone, perforated inserts, embroidery, and contrast stitch are extra
